Dear Ritu,
How are you doing? Hope everything is fine at your place. Gaja hit us quite hard and we need a lot of time to recover.
I consider it as the grace of God that I am now being able to write this. It was in a huge trial two days ago. I was just returning from school and I was supposed to hand over a few clothes to an old woman as a part of our charity club. The weather did not seem so good and it was raining heavily. But I got the job done and I was returning. I do not know how but all of a sudden people started wailing and shouting. In the spec of a moment, I could see a cyclone that hit us.
Even before I could know it, the cyclone flew me away into places I don’t remember at all. I lost my way and all my belongings at once. I couldn't breathe. I knew I was going to die. The waters hit me very hard and I was already injured, I was not sure what parts of my body got hit. Waters and the hard breeze kept filling my nose. I was going in and out of my breath and life. I was losing control of my breath. And soon, there was a tendering peace. I think I died.
I woke up to find myself in the sky, somewhere so unfamiliar with the place. The man in an orange jacket was hitting me and started comforting me. Oh man! I was saved by the rescue team. And I am very much alive now. The man who saved me felt much overwhelmed but he had no time to cherish his victory, he got many other lives to be saved. I am now still lying on the hospital bed. The doctor has provided a sheet of a plan for me to recover. I need to follow the diet and take enough rest to recover soon.
Our schools, institutions and offices are closed as of now. The recovery management team is doing a great job. We will get back to our normal life soon hopefully. Remember us in your prayers. We are praying for you too.
See you soon. Take care.
Love,
Rhea.
