Tagore uses different aspects of the self and the idea of true freedom that is used as part of his poem Freedom.

India is the motherland lying in chains and the concept of fear has to be surpassed in order to gain a proper reflection of the country as a motherland.

The mother is blinded and there needs to be proper vision to get the country back from the clutches of the British rule.
