Answer:

x = 2, y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

5x + 7y -17=0

7x + 5y -19=0

In here,

a1 = 5, b1 = 7, c1 = -17,

a2 = 7, b2 = 5, c2 = -19

         X          Y          1

  7          -17          5          7

  5          -19          7          5

\frac{x}{(7)(-19) - (5)(-17)} = \frac{y}{(-17)(7) - (-19)(5)} = \frac{1}{(5)(5) - (7)(7)} \\\\\frac{x}{-48} = \frac{y}{-24} = \frac{1}{-24}

Now tou can easily solve this by simple equations in one varible by first solving by taking the first and the third term to find x and then the second and the third term to find y .

You will get the answer as x = 2 and y = 1
