Answer:

height=h=3m

radius=r=8m

lateral height=l=root(height^2+radius^2)

=root(3^2+8^2)

=root(9+64)

=root73

CSA=pierl

=(22/7)*8*root73

=(22/7)*8*8.544

=214.820m^2

=214.82m^2

Hope it helps

Given:-

  • Height = 3m
  • Radius = 8m

To find:-

  • CSA of the cone.

Solution:-

We have height and radius of the cone, but we need to find the slant height of the cone.

  • \sf{l = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}}

  • \sf{l = \sqrt{(8)^2 + (3)^2}}

  • \sf{l = \sqrt{64 + 9}}

  • \sf{l = \sqrt{73}}

Now, CSA of a cone is given by

☆ CSA = πrl

Putting the values

\tt\longmapsto{CSA = \dfrac{22}{7} \times 8 \times \sqrt{73}}

\tt\longmapsto{CSA = \dfrac{176}{7} \times \sqrt{73}}

\tt\longmapsto{CSA = 25.14 \times 8.54}

\bf\longmapsto{CSA = 214.69}

Hence,

  • CSA of the cone is 214.69 m².
