Bacteria like lactobacilli are used in the preparation of curd and cheese.

Curd is prepared by curdling the milk when a small sample of lactobacillus is added. Cheese is prepared from pasteurised milk. Cheese is made by adding starter culture of bacteria to coagulate the milk. Milk can be coagulated by using rennet .Rennet is the enzyme in the form of tablet.
