The correct option is (C) 3.5A

Given:

A network has a circuit of wires having different currents flowing into them.

To Find:

The current I in the figure

Solution:

Using the concept,

Incoming current = outgoing current

In the first part of the figure,

2A = 1A + 1A

In the second part of the figure,

1A + 1A = 2A

In the third part, there is not a single point where the current is outgoing and incoming

hence we take the average of the currents 2A and 5A to get the value of the current I

I = 2 + 5 / 2 = 3.5A
