Given,

Curved surface area of a right circular cylinder = 4.4 m²

Radius of base of cylinder = 0.7 m

To find,

Height of cylinder.

Solution :

                   ∵ CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

Where, r = radius and h = height.

Now putting values,

⇒ 4.4 = 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × h

⇒ 4.4 = 2 × 22 × 0.1 × h

⇒ 4.4 = 4.4 × h

⇒ h = 4.4/4.4

h = 1

Height of cylinder = 1 m.

Answer:

Given :-

  • A curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 4.4 m² and the radius of the base of the cylinder is 0.7 m.

To Find :-

  • What is the height of the cylinder.

Formula Used :-

{\purple{\boxed{\large{\bold{C.S.A\: of\: cylinder\: =\: 2{\pi}rh}}}}}

where,

  • r = Radius
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Let, the height of the cylinder be h

Given :

  • Curved surface area = 4.4 m²
  • Radius = 0.7 m

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\sf 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 0.7 \times h =\: 4.4

\sf 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times \dfrac{7}{10} \times h =\: \dfrac{44}{10}

\sf 2 \times 22 \times h =\: 44

\sf h =\: \dfrac{44}{22 \times 2}

\sf h =\: \dfrac{\cancel{44}}{\cancel{44}}

\sf\bold{\red{h =\: 1\: m}}

\therefore The height of the cylinder is 1 m .
