Curved surface area of a right circular cylinder of height 14 cm is 88 cm^2. Find the diameter of the base of the cylinder.

Let r cm be the radius of the base of the cylinder, then as given in question, CSA (curved surface area) = 2 × pi × r × h = 88 cm^2

=> 2 × 22/7 × r × 14 = 88

=> r = 88×7/2×22×14 = 1 cm

So, diameter of the base = 2 × r = 2 × 1 = 2 cm
