It is a displacement reaction. Due to high reactive metal zinc displaced copper from its ion.

This reaction is called as “Displacement reaction”.

EXPLANATION:

“Displacement reaction is a chemical response” in which “more reactive and less reactive element” displaces from its compound.  

CuSO_{4} + Zn = ZnSO_{4} + Cu, here Copper (Cu) is a substance will be less responsive than a Zinc (Zn).

So, that the copper (Cu) is replaced by the zinc (Zn) from its salt solution. Hence, the copper (Cu) does not replace the salt solution of zinc (Zn).
