D. A boatsman can travel by his boat a distance of 30 km in 6 h in favour of the current. While
he comes back in 10 h against the current. Find the velocity of the current and the velocity of
the boat in still water.

speed of boat in favor of current =5KM/h

speed of boat in opposition direction =30/10=3k/m

speed of flow of water is 5-3=2k/m

Sorry it's a maths question not a physics one.... No need to apply relative approach....

So, V+U=30/6=5km/hr...

Also, V-U=30/10=3km/hr....

So solve the two equations yourself..... You will get V=4km/hr and U=1km/hr..... I know the answer is wrong..... Thanks....But velocity in still water means velocity of boat with respect to velocity of water so in first case it is 4 km/hr - 1 km/hr =3km/hr.....and in the second case it's 4km/hr+1km/hr=5km/hr.....Good Bye...
