we have to find the perimeter of triangle ADE.

By mid-point theorem which states that the line segment joined by two sides of triangle is parallel to third side and also half of the length of third side.

DE=\frac{1}{2}BC

As Perimeter=35 cm i.e

AB+BC+CA=35

Divide by 2 throughout

\frac{1}{2}AB+\frac{1}{2}BC+\frac{1}{2}CA=\frac{1}{2}\times 35

AD+DE+AE=\frac{35}{2}=17.5 cm

Perimeter of triangle ADE is 17.5 cm
