Explanation:

1) They are:

Attractive Property – Magnet attracts ferromagnetic materials like iron, cobalt, and nickel.

Repulsive Properties – Like magnetic poles repel each other and unlike magnetic poles attract each other.

Directive Property – A freely suspended magnet always points in a north-south direction.

2) Maximum iron fillings will stick to the ends of the bar magnet because at the ends of the magnet poles are located. The strength of the poles is maximum at the ends of the magnet. A freely suspended magnet always aligns itself in North-South direction.

3) in attachment

4) Like poles of magnets repel each other.

5) Single touch method: Rub the needle with a magnet ony in one direction from one end of the needle to the other. Repeat this procedure for at least 30 times with one pole of the bar magnet. Now the knitting needle would have become a magnet.
