Current has direction as well as magnitude so it should be a vector quantity. But current is a scaler quantity because it does not follow the vector law. ... Current is not a vector quantity even though it has a direction. It is a scalarquantity.

Scalar quantity :
• Quantity which do not mention direction is called Scalar quantity.
• Distance is a scalar quantity..

Vector quantity :
• Quantity which mentions direction is called Vector quantity.
• Displacement is a vector quantity...
