you should understand that if function is constant , derivative of it will be zero.

as you know constant function is independent with value of x. it remains same for all value of x. hence, if we differentiate it with respect to x, we get , dy/dx = 0.

Similarly , here given function is y = a^a
a^a is a constant function because a^a doesn't contain x . so, derivative of a^a e.g., d(a^a)/dx = 0

hence, option (b) is correct

Here a^a is a positive real number.
