Metals -
Easily corrodible
Can lose electrons
Form basic oxides
Have lower electronegativities
Acts as very good reducing agents

Nonmetals -
Generally, contain 4-8 electrons in the outer shell
Readily lose or gain valence electrons
Form acidic oxides
High electronegative elements
Great oxidizing agents

Metals form at least one basic oxide, non metal form an acidic or neutral oxide. Metals have 1,2,3 valence electrons while nonmetals have 4,5,6 valence electrons. Metals are electropositive nonmetals are electronegative. Metals are reducing agents, non metals are oxidising agents. Metals lose electrons, nonmetals gain electrons.
Hope this helps please mark as the brainliest
