a. Herriot took Tricki to his surgery and stopped giving him the unhealthy food items which Mrs. Pumphrey had been giving him to eat. He put Tricki on a diet and left him to play with other dogs in the shelter. ... Soon, Tricki became a fit & active dog and he was out of danger due to obesity and lack of exercise.
b. According to Hari Singh, different people reacted differently upon being robbed. The greedy man displays fear, the rich man shows anger, and the poor man shows acceptance. However, a trusting man like Anil would be sad due to the loss of trust.
c. In the story the midnight visitor, Max was the visitor. He visited Ausable because he wanted some papers from him. He went to him with a pistol. He tried to threaten Ausable but he was not successful in this mission of his.
d. The 'dust of snow' means the fine particles or flakes of snow. The sudden shower in the form of the dust of snow changed the poet's mood. The poet's mood changed from sad to happy. He felt refreshed and wanted to enjoy the rest of the day.
