The bag contains 3 red balls and 5 black balls.

S = {3 +5balls}

n(S) = 8

Let A be the event that the ball selected is not red.

If the ball is not red,then it will be black only.

There are 5 black balls in the bag

n(A) = 5

P(A) = n(A)/n(S)

= 5/8

So,P(A) = 5/8
