Answer:
We ask for a second chance because we know that we can do much better You cannot please everyone every time but by getting a second chance we get a hope to make people happy at the same moment..... WE WISH FOR ANOTHER CHANCE BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF DOING THINGS MUCH BETTER....
The only thing that gives any sort of meaning to human existence, according to Camus, is that despite knowing the finality of pain, death and loss, as well as the absolute transience of happiness, a human being continues to try. This ultimate optimism, of continuing is the very essence of human existence.
A do-over is a uniquely positive concept - it implies that a certain ordering principle operates in the universe that is predispositioned to be positive, more worthy. The learning process, the continuous drive to be better, to be enabled to show that you've learnt and adjusted your behaviour accordingly, is the very crux of what a do-over signifies. This longing of not being clueless, of having basic information motivates us to want to change things. This is very much like being a research student - of being careful with data and wanting to see patterns. This imo, is why people always want to be better - to align themselves with all that is positive about the world and most importantly, to be okay with their decisions and their stand on matters.
The heart is, a philosopher king afterall.
