Answer:

Length = 80 m

Breadth = 20 m

Explanation:

P = 2(L + B)

200 = 2(L + B)

L + B = 100 -> Eq. 1

L = 4 × B

L = 4B -> Eq. 2

Put Eq. 2 in 1

4B + B = 100

5B = 100

B = 20

Using Eq. 2:

L = 4(20)

L = 80

ǫsɪɴ:-

  • The perimeter of a rectangular plot is 200m. Its length is 4 times the breadth of the rectangular plot. Find length and breadth of the plot.

ғɪɴ:-

  • Length and breadth of the plot.

ɢɪɴ:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 200m

sʟɪɴ:-

☞Let the breadth be x.

so length = 4x

Now,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

200 = 2(4x + x)

200 = 8x + 2x

200 = 10x

x =  \frac{200}{10}

x = 20

☞Now,

  • Breadth of the plot = 20m
  • Length of the plot = 4 × 20 = 80m
