I went to the beach today. It was lovely.Beach. Grassy, sunny, sweaty, dripping with the moisture of a thousand bodies, partially-dressed etc.Beach today, lovely, can I say? People, people, a heaving mass of humanity, sweating and burning under the midday sun.
