The day before yesterday was Dussehra. It is one of the important festivals celebrated in India. The festival is celebrated on the tenth day from the Hindi calendar of Ashvin. It is also known as Vijaydashmi. It is said that on this day Goddess Durga got victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura. She killed the demon in order to establish peace and harmony among the people. The day is also celebrated as Lord Rama attaining victory over the evil Ravana. This festival is symbolic of the winning of the good over the evil. I celebrated this Dussehra with my friends at my place. They all came to my house and we went to see the puja pandals together. We ate ice-creams and many other stuffs. Also we enjoyed many rides in the fair. This was the most enjoyable Dussehra.
