There are commonly two forms of power sharing

1] horizontal

2] vertical

HORIZONTAL : In this, the power is shared among different organs of        government such as the legislature, executive, and judiciary. Here power is divided equally .

VERTICAL :  In this, the power can be shared among governments at different levels. Here power is divided unequally .
