- Plants in our ecosystem comprises of three types of cells , i.e , collenchyma , parenchyma and sclerenchyma.

- Sclerenchyma are those kind of cells which have no protoplast and termed to be dead at their maturity level.

- The cell walls of these cells are very thick and consists of cellulose , hemicellulose and lignin.

- They don't take part in any other function of the plant rather than supporting the plants as they facilitate elongation in plants.
