Question :----- what will be the quotient when (2m+4)/8 is divided by (m+2)/6 ?

solution :------

as we can see , from (2m+4) we can take common 2 .

so, we get = 2(m+2)

so, or dividend is = 2(m+2)/8 = (m+2)/4

and our divisor is = (m+2)/6 ,

we know that,

dividend = divisor * Quotient + (Remainder if any)

so,

Quotient = Dividend / divisor

quotient \:  =  \frac{ (\frac{m + 2}{4}) }{ (\frac{m + 2}{6} )}  \\  \\  \\  \\ quotient = ( \frac{m + 2}{4} ) \times ( \frac{6}{m + 2} ) \\  \\  \\  \\ quotient =  \frac{6}{4}

so,
