dear members, i need an essay on plastics should be banned. please either give me essay or few points to be noted so as to prepare for debate which m having on day after tomorrow.hope u 'll reply as soon as u read dis query.thanks in advance !

Earth is the only planet that supports life. Human beings are the only living beings contributing to pollution that's harming our planet Earth. Just for the sake of science and technology man has polluted and destroyed our environment to a tremendous extent. As Newton rightly said " every action has an equal and an opposite reaction " whatever man has been doing to improve his life , he has equally harassed Mother Nature as well. Increasing use of plastic is one of the major causative factors for this condition. Plastic is a non biodegradable product that has multiple benefits. It has become part and parcel of our day to day lives. Right from the toothbrush we use in the morning till the gigantic machinery in factories plastic has found its place almost everywhere. Unfortunately since it cannot be degraded it tends to accumulate in the different strata of the soil and it remains as such even for thousands of years !! This hampers the soil from carrying out its normal activity. Plastic bags , although very handy to use , have now made the once pristine rivers as garbage filled water bodies. They pose a threat to all the water living creatures and eventually kill them. Plastic should either be recycled or replaced with jute. This is the need of the hour else plastic must be banned altogether. Modern technology owes ecology an apology !!
