Answer:

There should be no limit on the education qualifications of a politician or a minister. That’s because even if a person is educated that doesn’t mean he will be good in running the government.

Running a government taking decisions ,controlling large population and people under you is not an easy job.

There is no scientific theory that an educated person will definitely do good in every domain of life than an uneducated person.

Infact, I think life is the biggest teacher. It teaches us a lot everyday. Even more than what an educated person gets from his books.

Life is more practical. it allows us to learn from our mistakes and gives us experiences that one can’t get from anywhere. These experiences are a must in running the political system of the country than the theories we study in schools.

Also, when the education system of India is under consideration then my point carries a lot of weight. Our education system doesn’t gives us any chance to be practical. Till 12th standard we are bookworms trying to gain more than 90% as that will determine our future. Also after 12th nothing changes. In Colleges the thing remains the same.We are tested on what is written in books. No one gets any practical opportunity or knowledge. in majority of the cases.

Being a minister is much more than having education qualification. You have to take decisions under pressure, you have to understand people their sentiments ,how to get work out of people under you.

Our education system doesn’t gives us opportunities to experience all these in our early life.

Also if an uneducated man has reached the level of a minister then he must be having something some good potential.

I am not saying that all the ministers or politicians who don’t have fancy degrees are good but most of them are not so bad even. Infact major scams in the Indian history are done by the educated ones holding fancy degree from US universities.

Politics is a different game altogether where everything changes suddenly and everyone runs for power.A educated person will always win that’s not necessary.

Consider an example:

Manmohan Singh (Congress)

He studied at Hindu College.

He attended Panjab University, Chandigarh, then in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, studying Economics and got his bachelor's and master's degrees in 1952 and 1954, respectively, standing first throughout his academic career.

He completed his Economics Tripos at University of Cambridge as he was a member of St John's College in 1957

In 1960, he went to the University of Oxford for the D.Phil

Narendra Modi (BJP)

Completed his schooling in Vadnagar

Completed his Master's degree in Political Science from Gujarat University

Looking at both PM’s qualification i would say that Narendra Modi is uneducated in front of Manmohan Singh but we have experienced some of the biggest scams of the Indian history during Manmohan Singh’s 10 yrs tenure as PM.Coal Scam,2G scam etc..

Dr. Manmohan is extra educated , he has served at various positions but such bad decisions by him proves that education should not be mandatory for Indian political system.

There are many more cases/political personalities who are educated and have done blunders.

There are uneducated one also who have done blunders. No objection to that.

But overall we can’t say education is must for Indian politicians.
