Answers
Answer:
I see your point! but do not you think that by making English language as an second official language of India Indians "Hindi" language will lose it's reputation! Moreover, you gave Kazakhstan as an example where Russian language is considered to be the second language but in practice it is casual spoken by almost everyone! Also, there are some laws where written that Kazakh language must be official language not only in a paper but in casual speaking language! So, I what I want to write is "Hindi" language should be exist! because without language there is no history, if there is no history than there is no traditions and finally my friend it bring to loosing national identity! O.k. let's imagine that English become official language of India but how after some decades Indian generation will know their traditions, history and their own native language! So, every country should value their traditions, history and even their language because it is inheritance from our ancestors!
Explanation:
Thank you for your participation in this debate, Fakhriddin. First of all, I don't say about India's independency. But I'm telling about the second national language of India. I think, it would be good for English people who are still live in India. Furthermore, as you mentioned India is a former British colony, and I think it's OK if English become as a second national language, for instance in Kazakhstan we have second language is Russian, because Kazakhstan is former colony of Russia, and there are still a lot of Russians. Secondly, it would be suitable for travelers who will visit India. It will be more easier for them to communicate with local people. Finally, in point of view it will be beneficial for Indians. It will help them to study abroad in a famous universities such as Oxford, Harvard or MIT. Because they will already speak English. Overall, making English as a second national language will be beneficial for local people in India and for foreigners. No,English shouldn't be made the official language of India. Because Indians have their own local "Hindi" language that indicates Indians rich tradition and their rich history! Let's see how English came to India! Before it's independence, after the collation of the Moghuls the British became the rulers of north India. Even Hindus whose mother tongue were not Hindi supported this argument. This debate between the Hindus and the Muslims continued right up to the independence of India. Against this stand of two different languages two of Indians notable leaders, Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, supported the idea of one Hindustani language which could be written in both forms. But when British India was divided in two countries, India and Pakistan. Muslims who got Pakistan made Urdu their official language and Indians made Hindi with Devanagiri script as their official language. So, you see how Indians also made attempts to become an independent country, to have their own national language
