Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we are learning every aspect of our lives. It has made some of us and our loved ones sick, but it has also brought our families closer together.

We should talk to our family and friends who can provide the kind of information and socialization we are looking for and check in with our loved ones to see what they need.

Social distancing has created a bonding. We are learning how to protect ourselves from this pandemic disease and this has brought us closer to our friends and family.

People living in different parts of the countries are spending good times with their loved ones. People are maintaining social distancing and this lockdown is teaching us some valuable lessons. We have learned the importance of our families.

When this storm has passed, we should remember the importance of this time that this crisis has only just begun to teach us something great.

Though the pandemic is a matter of huge concern worldwide, surprisingly, it has brought families closer, in terms of spending quality time together, motivating one another and sharing the workload.

While the pandemic has forced many nations to enforce lock downs, staying at home has in fact helped families strengthen their bonds. Given the rush of normal life, parents and children were so caught up in their busy lives that they did not have time or energy to spend with their own family members. Now however, that has changed.  There are no meetings, and schools to attend or social commitments to keep. Instead, everyone is home, with enough time to interact with the others.

Additionally, since everything has come to a grinding halt, worries and anxieties are bound to grow. With no income being generated, households are facing a lot of uncertainty about the future. Yet, at this time, it is the family members who can give assurance to the others. After all, whatever we do, we do keeping our families in mind. Once the family is united, all battles can be won and all tensions subside.

Further,  gender stereotypes are being broken. Men who never used to help out with the household chores, are stepping forward. Children who were too busy to make their beds or wash utensils, are beginning to do their bit. Overall, every member of the family is contributing in one way or the other, to ensure the smooth working of the household. Such teamwork brings greater closeness.

The three reasons mentioned above- enjoying family time, facing challenges together and sharing responsibilities indicate that social distancing has indeed brought families closer.
