Debate on Swachhta Pakhwada is being organised in various schools.
The main aim of this debate competition is to create awareness among students in the issue s of sanitation and cleanliness. .
The students are motivated to take up volunteering activities for the cleanliness of their school and the surrounding localities.
This program aims at making India clean by 2nd October 2019, which is the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
In the fourth month of 2016, Swachhta Pakhwada was commenced with the aim of making a fortnight dedicated to the practices of swachhta.
It included the Central Ministry and also the associated departments that came under the concerned jurisdiction.
In order to pre-plan the activities of Pakhwada, an annual schedule or calendar is circulated among the concerned ministries.
