debate on topic success is more important than happiness

There have been a lot of discussions, studies, and surveys about whether children should be moulded to achieve success at all costs or should they be conditioned to value happiness most, even more than their careers and other related achievements, or lack of them.
The broader belief is that there are people who want to be happy, and there are others who want to be successful. In between, there is a big dispute between the two schools of thought riding on the argument that success and happiness are relative and corresponding to each other.
Success is the first and foremost goal of life and one should always be focussed on achieving this goal even if it means sacrificing all your hobbies, interests etc. Once you are successful you can take up hobbies and your areas of interest as then you will be much ahead in your career and with a strong social presence with name, fame, and money.
Happiness is more important than success: There is no doubt that success is a very important part of life, but happiness is a priceless emotion. In fact, it is believed that people who are happy achieve much more than those who keep a serious, sober demeanour.
On general review done 85%of the people are unhappy even after success. So you maybe wondering that happiness is good, well happiness is an emotion!Duh!By certain amount of success could led you to happiness.Although your success cannot buy happiness & you happiness cannot buy success.Yes,Happiness is more important than success because the point of being successful is to make you happy.People who are successful are often miserable,if success is not their, definition of happiness, people should help others but once that is done,They should focus on what makes them happy in life
Success is more important than happiness
Good morning everyone present here; I am here to debate on ‘success is more important than happiness’; and I am going to speak against it.
Well, success and happiness are interrelated. Success brings happiness; but it does not mean that who don’t succeed they can’t be happy.
In the contemporary times, success has become synonymous with being financially successful or securing a lucrative career. If we measure success with these two yardsticks, we will find many greatly successful people in search of happiness.
Happiness is quite an elusive thing! People believe happiness lies in amassing limitless material possession, owning big cars, farm houses, or wearing glamorous outfits.
However, it is quite ironical that people, who own maximum material possessions in great proportions, are least happy! The mystery about happiness is little understood. . Dale Carnegie, the famous American writer and speaker has beautifully said, ‘Happiness doesn't depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude. ‘All great men and women have revealed to us the secrets to true happiness. They taught us it has nothing to do with the material riches. They told us the perennial fountains of happiness lie in our own minds to be tapped by us.
Happiness lies in right attitude and spiritual ken. Happiness is the fruit of the trees of hard-work and sound character. The way to happiness is hard, narrow and full of obstacles. As a result not many people get attracted to it. However, the way to sorrow is quite alluring and intriguing and finally ends up in hopelessness and depression. If you want to be happy, give the world happiness. Do good deeds; forgive the offences people do against you. And above all have faith in God’s goodness. Initially you will find it quite formidable; but carry on doing the good you can do in spite of all the odds against you! Finally you will be crowned with the crown of happiness. You will find you are the creator of your own happiness.
Once you are rightly aligned with the universe, you will find happiness almost every small thing. No big things are required to be happy. Just be happy!
In conclusion it can be said happiness is more valuable than success. Success is pursuit of happiness, but happiness is an end in itself.
