Lord Ullin's daughter was right in defying her father because she loved the chief too much to let him go. If she had not run away with the chief, then her father would have perhaps got her married to someone else,and she wouldn't have survived. Also, Lord Ullin had ordered his army men to slain the chief and so both of them had been on a run since three days.
