Decomposers and scavengers are those which decomposes the waster organic matter and release energy back in the environment. Hence, they are also called as nature's cleaner. They are present in the apex of the pyramid. Thus, the correct answer is 'Decomposers and scavengers.

They help break down or reduce organic material into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are then eaten by decomposers. Decomposers eat dead materials and break them down into chemical parts. Nitrogen, carbon and other nutrients can then be used again by plants and animals.

Scavengers can be animals such as birds, crabs, insects, and worms. They can be also called as detritivores. Decomposers are manly fungi. Earthworms and bacteria are also decomposers. The biological term for decomposers is saprotrophs. Both these types of organisms recycle nutrients in the ecosystems.

Hope this helps :D
