Decomposers like fungi contribute to the growth of new plants as they are the ones who decompose the dead remains of animals and plants and break down the complex substances in them into simpler substances which can be used by plants for their growth.

When plants and animals die, they become food for decomposers like bacteria, fungi and earthworms. Decomposers or saprotrophs recycle dead plants and animals into chemical nutrients like carbon and nitrogen that are released back into the soil, air and water which will be used by the new plant for its growth
