By the time of Kublai's death, the Mongol Empire had fractured into four separate , empires, each pursuing its own separate interests and objectives: the Golden Horde EMPIRE in the northwest. The Chagatai EMPIRE  LOCATED in Central Asia. the Ilkhanate in the southwest.IT GOT DECLINED.
