deep in the ocean sunlight can hardly reach yet there are plants such as Brown and red algae found here how do you think they are able to synthesise their food

Because. Plants in deep ocean receive oxygen from water and get access to sunlight.

Due to presence of chlorophyll, pigments of red and brown help in masking predominant green pigments of photosynthesis. 

As a result, they easily prepare their food and survive for long. After their death, they fall down.
