Hey

Deepa read 3/8 book during day and 1/6 during night

That means she read 18/48 during day and 8/48 during night.

Part of book left =

18-8/48 = 10/8 part is left

Hope this helps.

Part of book read in day = 3/8
Part of book read in night = 1/6
Total part read by her =
 \frac{3}{8} + \frac{1}{6}
 = \frac{13}{24}
Now, the whole part is 24/24

Therefore, Remaining Part
= Total Part - Original Part

= 24/24 - 13/24
= 11/24

Hence, The remaining part to be read is 11/24.

Hope It Helps.
