In leaves can give rise to new plants. This method of producing new plants is known as vegetative propagation.
The advantages of vegetative propagation are as follows:
1) the plant produced by vegetative propagation bear flower and fruit earlier than plants produced by seeds
2)vegetative propagation makes it possible for plants that does not produce seed such as rose and Jasmine to reproduce
3)the plants produced by vegetative propagation are genetically similar enough to the parent plant to bear its characteristics

✔️✔️Vegetative propagation:-

⭕️It is the plant’s ability to reproduce by producing new plants from vegetative plant parts such as roots, stem, and leaves..

Vegetative propagation is classified into two types:-

➖ Natural

➖Artificial

✔️✔️Significance :-

⭕️Plant which do not produce seeds, are propagated by the method e.g., sugar-cane, banana, potato, rose, orange etc.

⭕️Vegetative propagation is a cheaper, easier and rapid method of propagation in plants than growing plants from their seeds.

⭕️The trait (character) of a plant is preserved by vegetative reproduction.

➖➖➖or ➖➖➖

⭕️Vegetative propagation by cuttings; grafting, budding,  layering, can produce a new plants.

⭕️ With the help of vegetative propagation can raise crops like bananas, sugarcane, potato, etc that do not produce viable seeds.

⭕️Vegetative propagation is easier and faster than seed method.

⭕️Genetically identical offspring's can be produced through vegetative propagation, which helps in preservation of traits.
