• Democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people while in non democracy it is not important that rulers are elected by the people. Dictatorship and monarchy is examples of non democracy
• In a democracy the final decision making power rest with those elected by the people. While in a non democracy there may be elected representative but the real power rest with those who are not elected by people
• In a democracy, there is a free and fair election and those currently in power have a fair chance of losing. but this can't happen in a non democracy
• In a democracy each adult citizen have one vote and each vote have one value but none exist in a non democracy
• Democracy has to respect people's basic rights and is controlled by some limits set by constitutional laws and citizens right, but in a non democracy rulers can do whatever they want
• Democracy is more accountable form of government but in a non democracy, the rulers can or may respond to the needs of the people, but it depens upon the rulers
• Democracy improves the quality of decision making,democracy have fair solution for conflict and differences, improves dignity of people and allows us to correct its own mistakes. But non is possible in a non democracy.
• In a democray mistakes can't be hidden for long. there is a room for discussion and a space for correcting mistakes. Either the ruler corrects the mistake or the ruler can be changed. But non of these can happen in a non democracy
• In a non democracy people are the subjects of the rulers but in a democracy people are the rulers themselves.
• Democracy requires the active participation of people in politics but in a non democracy, rulers requires the people to stay away from politics.
