I think these fossils are in the Himalayas because there were buried underground ages ago by our ancestors there probably still there considering no one has touched them and after some time people decay

• Shells and marine fossils have been found in the Himalayan range of mountains. The geological evidence proves that before the Himalayas there used to be the Tethys Sea.

• Due to the tectonic plates movement under the sea, they collided and the thrust upwards lead to the formation of Himalayan range.

• This explains why it has marine fossils as there once used to be a sea.  The sea bed had horizontal arrangement of fossils but when the mountain formation took place they got arranged vertically.
