The Heron's formula is a formula that is used to find the area of any triangle given the lengths of all of its sides.

The formula says, that for a triangle with side lengths a, b and c, the area of the given triangle can be found as follows:

S=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)},

where s is half a perimeter of the triangle, or s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}.
