By Pythagoras theorem,
Square of the length + Square of the Breadth = Square of the diagonal
7 square + length square = 25 square
49 + length square = 625
Length = 24 cm
Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)
=2(7+24)
=2(31)
= 62 cm

Area of the rectangle = l × b
= 24 × 7 = 168 cm square

Thank you

Given:

Breadth= 7cm

Diagonal= 25 cm

We know that a rectangle is made up of 2 right angled  triangles.

Thus, (length)²= (diagonal)²-(breadth)² (∵pythagorean theorem)

(length)² = (25)²-(7)²

(length)² =625-49= 576 cm

= length= √576= 24 cm

Area=  length×breadth

= 7×24= 168 cm²

Perimeter= 2(length+breadth)= 2(7+24)= 14+ 48= 62 cm

Thus, Perimeter= 62 cm

Area= 168 cm²

Hope this helps!
