  • Examples are : dettol (chloroxylenol + terpeneol), Bithional (added to soaps). Salol, Acriflavin, Savlon, Gention violet, Mercuro Chrome, Salicylic acid, picric acid, resorcinol, phenol, iodoform, boric acid, iodine, methylene blue, potassium permanganate.
