Charge is the characterstics or property of a body which can apply force on another body...
Force can change the state of motionof a body..if body at rest..force can give motion to the same body...or if body is in motion can be stopped by applying force..
For example...when we bring Scale (Rular) nearby the piece of paper...it doesnt attract the paper...then we say Scale is not charged or it has not got any charge that's why, it cannot apply force on paper..
But when we rubb the same ruler with dry hair or cloth and bring it nearby the piece of paper, it attracts the paper and pull towards it...then we say rular has got charge or it is charge...so it applies force on paper...
So Charge is that characteristics of an object due to which it can apply force on another object..
Volt...
Volt is basically S.I unit of potetial difference between the two end of the conductor..denoted by letter V.
Potential difference is defined as the amount of work done on a unit charge moving from one location to other...
The relation is given by V = W/Q
if we take w=1J and q =1C then V = 1J/1C
1 volt defined as the amount of 1 joule of work on a charge of magnitude 1 Coulomb bringing it from one loaction to other..

The Potential difference between two points in an electric field is said to one volt if one joule of work has to be done in bringing a positive charge of one coulomb from one
