If the Potential Difference across the two ends of conductor is 1 volt and the current through it is 1 amp then the resistance R of the conductor is 1 ohm.

Answer:

The resistance offered by a conductor is said to be 1 ohm when a current of 1 ampere flows across a potential difference of 1 volt.

In other words,

R=\frac{V}{I} \\

1Ω = \frac{1V}{1A}
