Current = Q/t ,
where Q = charge ( in coulomb (C)) and t = time ( in sec)
1 A = 1C/1s = 1 C s⁻¹
When 1 Coulomb of charge flows through a conducting wire , in 1 sec , then the current flowing through the wire is 1 A
