The solution is a mixture of Solute and Solvent. It is a Homogenous mixture.

There are three types of solutions

  • unsaturated: the mixture in which more solute can be added
  • saturated: no more solute can be addedno more solute can be added
  • supersaturated:more solute can be added when heated

A solution is a homogeneous mixture of solute and solvents.

There are three types of solutions on the basis of the physical state of the solvent:-

  • Saturated Solutions:- Saturated solutions are those solutions in which the solvent is not able to dissolve more solute.
  • Unsaturated Solutions:- Unsaturated solutions are those solutions in which the solvent is able to dissolve more solute.
  • Supersaturated Solution:- Supersaturated solutions are those solutions that contain a large amount of solute due to which extra solute crystallizes.
