TRAPEZIUM : A CLOSED FIGURE HAVING TWO PARALLEL AND TWO NON PARALLEL SIDES. AND SUM OF ADJACENT ANGLES IS OF 180°.

KITE : A CLOSED FIGURE HAVING TWO PAIR OF EQUAL ADJACENT SIDES.

a flat shape with four straight sides ,one pair of opposite sides being parallel and the other pair non parallel this is called trapezium....

a kite is a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into pairs of equal length sides that are adjacent to each other .In contrast ,parallelogram also two pair of equal length sides, but they are opposite to each other rather then adjacent .... hope it will helpful for you
