Explanation:

The activity series of metals is the series of metals arranged according to its reactivity concerning hydrogen.

Zinc granules are the metallic zinc which is an amphoteric metal. It can form an acidic as well as an alkaline salts with acids and bases respectively.

When "zinc is added to the copper sulphate" solution, the blue color of the solution fades and after sometime, it vanishes. The zinc granules disappear. The solution contains "zinc sulphate solution", and the copper precipitates with red colored precipitation.
