Actual Resource
Actual Resources are also known as Developed Resources. Actual Resources are those resources which have already been developed and presently being used. The quality and quantity of these resources are known to us. Eg- The iron ore and coal deposits in Jharkhand, The petroleum deposits in West Asian Countries etc.
Potential Resource
Potential resources are those resources which could be of use in the future due to breakthroughs in technology or changing circumstances. For eg- Biofuel which was made of living matter like crops of sugarcane and rapeseed was thought to be too expensive 20 years back.
