1. Mesozoic era:
It is the era of reptiles. It is middle life. The word is derived from greek. It is divided into three perids. They are Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.

2) Palaeozoic era:
In this year great change in earth occurred. It is almost 200 million years. It is divided into six periods.

3) Cenozoic era:
It is about 65 million years. It is the era of mammals. Many plant species too evolved. It is divided into three periods.

4)Azoic era:
It is the age of rocks before life. The word is derived from Greek. The meaning of the word is without life. This era is the age of rocks without animals.

5) Proterozoic:
It is the era before the formation of complex life on Earth. This word too comes from Greek meaning earlier life.

6)Precambrian:
It covers 90% of the history. It is divided into three eras. It is referred as super eon. It date back to 600 million years.

7)Devonian period:
It is the fourth period of Palaeozoic era. It is the age when fishes formed. Plants also began spreading across the world.

8)Ordovician period:
It is the second of Palaeozoic era. In this period, origin and evolution of invertebrates are notable.
